Biography Vladimir II II Monomakh
(1053-1125) - Prince of Smolensk (from 1067), Chernigov (since 1078), Pereyaslav (since 1093), Grand Prince of Kiev (1113-1125). The son of Vsevolod I and daughter of Emperor Constantine Monomakh. Was intended to reign in Kiev during the popular uprising in 1113 which followed the death of Svyatopolk P. Take steps to limit the arbitrariness lenders and managerial staff. He managed to achieve the unity of Russia and the cessation of strife. Complement sets of laws that existed before him, with new articles.
