Kettle Raymond Bernard

Born: March 20, 1905 in Staffordshire, England.

Died: February 2, 1998.

In 16 years Kettle joined the Royal College of London University, where he studied mainly physics and chemistry. A few months before graduation and graduation with honors, he found that training in the physical sciences does not meet its increased interest in social issues. Ignoring the advice of friends and classmates, Kettle decided to devote his diploma, and career psychology. In 1929 he received a doctorate in philosophy at the University of London. In 1945, Kettle joined the University of Illinois, where he remained for almost 30 years as director of the Laboratory of the individual and group analysis. In 1973, Kettle left his position at the University of Illinois and moved to Boulder, Colorado, where he founded the Institute for the Exploration of the foundations of morality and self -. Since 1977, he became a consultant professor at the University of Hawaii, as well as an honorary professor at Illinois. He is still actively involved in research and writing scientific papers.

As one of the most prolific theorists in the study of personality. Kettle published during his career some 35 books and 400 research articles. At the age of 92 years, Raymond B. Kettle died of natural causes at his home in Honolulu.
