Criticism

Like Yuri Leiderman, "pepper", Sergei Anufrieva, Larissa Rezun-Zvezdochetova - a native of Odessa. She, like others from Odessa, peculiar penchant for black humor, especially in the early works. But many of the names of her things from the range include the words "beauty", "beautiful". For a long time, it is professionally engaged in folk art. She knows that when any rural or urban resident in an incredible way paint your house, car or refrigerator, he does it out of passion for beauty. Moreover, the notion krasoy unstable. Beauty is in the works of Larissa Rezun-Zvezdochetova could be taken as an ironic. The materials it uses - the brightest colors, synthetic brocade and fake velvet, items from stores such as "All for 10 francs" - has consistently been associated with kitsch. But irony and by no means naive sorochey love the shiny opens what makes Larisa Rezun-Zvezdochetova unique artist. The instability of the concept of beauty, mild molestation kitsch dissipated like mist.

N. Alekseev. From the catalog of the exhibition 'Adresse provisoire pour l'art contemporain russe'. Musee de la Poste, Paris, France, 1993
