Biography Burinskaya Zahar A.
(died 1808).
After graduating from the Moscow high school, Burinskiy in 1801, Mr.. entered Moscow University in the Faculty of Philosophy. Having become acquainted with п?.пє. Merzlyakov, Burinskiy took an active part in formed about Merzljakov literary circle. In 1802. issued a separate edition of the poem "Poetry", in 1803, Mr.. out "the praises of rural life. Translated from the 2nd book Virgilievyh Georgics ". After graduation Burinskiy translated from the English Short tracing the history of the World "(Wiley, 1805) Gibbon and began the translation of Herodotus, an excerpt of which was printed F. Timkovsky when issuing fables Phaedra. In "Discourse on what kind of benefits brought Russia a war with the Turks in 1736" Burinskiy received a Master of philology. After the death of a printed translation from the French "Three blind men of Toledo (Moscow, 1811). Contemporaries, such as S.P. Zhikharev, pinned great hopes on Burinskiy and saw him as a future major poet. - See. AV. Smirnov, "Natives and figures of the Vladimir province (No.. II, Vladimir, 1897).
