Biography VASILEVSKY Hippolyte Fyodorovich
Born in 1850. Graduated from St. Petersburg University, Faculty of Law. The first story Vasilevsky was placed in the "Iskra" (1867). In 1872 - 81 years in Stock-Exchange Gazette, which was later renamed the "Rumor", Wasilewski placed first satires about life abroad under the title: "Every little helps", and then Sunday feuilleton. Since 1875. was actual, and from 1879. and the official editor of "Dragonflies," taking an active part in it, and as an officer for various divisions, ceasing to edit the journal until 1905, when, instead of "Dragonflies" in the "days of freedom" began to appear "Octopus". Since 1883. Vasilevsky took an active part in the "News" by typing them humorous satires of life abroad ( "Behind the scenes of politics") and sketches of provincial life ( "Among the inhabitants"). After the termination of the "News" (1906) Wasilewski began to publish these essays in the Stock-Exchange Gazette. Under the same general title "Among ordinary people" since 1882, Mr. Wasilewski. far prints satires in "Russian Gazette", which often puts the essays and their wanderings in various countries of Europe. Books Vasilevsky: "Human Comedy" (1881) and "Our morals" (1883) came out a separate edition in the form of annexes to the "Dragonfly". Witty satires Vasilevsky always written an elegant language and relate to the mild form of serious issues of our time.
