(1701 - 47). Wanting to go to Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, he secretly from his father, came to her prefect, Feofan Prokopovich, who enrolled him in seminary. . During all his wanderings led Basil extensive travel notes. His descriptions were detailed and precise and indicate, among other things, that he diligently read and studied the ancients, especially the medieval Greek writers, which often refers.
