Biography Wieniawski, Joseph I. (Wieniawski)
brother Henry Wieniawski. Born in 1837. He studied at the Paris Conservatoire. Improved by Liszt in Weimar and studied music theory from Marx in Berlin (1856). The first concert took a trip to Russia together with his brother (1850) also gave concerts in Europe. In 1856, Mr.. piano teacher, was invited to the Moscow Conservatory, but soon founded his own school of piano playing, which moved many of the students Conservatory. Later he taught in Warsaw and Brussels. Formed many outstanding students. The game did not differ a great force, but was very musical, brilliant, elegant. Tracks Wieniawski - all for the piano - are distinguished elegance and splendor. Some of his works are still frequently performed in concerts. Major works of Wieniawski: Concerto for piano, overtures (including the "William the Silent"), sonatas, "Valse de concert", "Valse de salon", 3 polonaise, 9 mazurkas, "Sur l'ocean", Fantaisie et fugue, Ballade, Fantasy on "Sonambulu, 24 etudes.
