Biography Vasily Gogol Afanasievich
(1780 - 1825). The son of a regimental clerk, Gogol in origin, character and cast of mind and literary work was a typical maloross. In the early 20's he became close to former Justice Minister Dimitrij Prokofievich Troshchinsky, who lived in retirement in the village and arranged here Kibintsah home theater.
