Biography DERFELDT Anton Antonovich
(1810 - 1869). Father Derfeldta caused by the Emperor Alexander I of Bohemia to compile in Russia chorus military musicians, was the first Russian conductor Guard troops and founder of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Society. Upon completion of the course Derfeldt without asking permission of the Russian government, participated in the conquest of Algeria. Earning the Legion of Honor, he returned to Russia where he was imprisoned as a deserter in Warsaw dungeon, and then exiled to the Caucasus, a private in the Nizhny Novgorod Dragoon Regiment. Here Derfeldt was admitted to the society officers, arranged concerts and musical evenings.
