Biography Nicholas Alexander
Born in 1858. He graduated from the course at St. Petersburg University in the department of natural sciences. In 1880, Mr.. participated in Murmansk for research whaling expeditions of the Arctic Ocean, from 1881 to 1886. was on the island of Sakhalin, to investigate the nature of his zoological research and produced in the Altai Mountains, Lake Balkhash and the north-eastern Persia, and the Trans-Caspian region. He received a master's degree in zoology thesis: "On the fauna of vertebrates in the bottom of the Balkhash basin, a doctorate for a thesis: Sakhalin Island and its vertebrate fauna". Was a junior zoologist at the Zoological Museum of the Imperial Academy of Sciences, which managed the office of reptiles, amphibians and fish. Contains a professor of zoology at Kharkov University, lectures on zoology at the Women's Courses. Other major works of his: "Key to reptiles, amphibians Russia Empire" (Kharkov, 1907); "Medical Zoology (3rd ed., Kharkov, 1911);" Herpetologia Caucasica "(Tiflis, 1913)," Reptiles, t. I.
