Biography Notovitch Ossip K.
(1849 - 1914), a Jew by origin. He graduated from the course at St. Petersburg University in the Faculty of Law. In 1873 - 1874 he. was the publisher and the actual editor of New Times. In 1876, Mr.. bought a small newspaper "News", which gradually turned into a great political body. Of the articles, some written Notovitch, part, according to his program, M.L. Neskovskim in the book "Principles of Reform. He also belongs to "Historical Sketch of Russian legislation on the press" (St. Petersburg, 1873 and 1893), several philosophical and aesthetic essays: "A little philosophy" (from 1886. 6 ed.) "Another bit of philosophy" (from 1886. 6 ed.) "Love and Beauty" (from 1888. 7 ed.) Emerged also in German and French translations. In 1874,. Notovitch issued a popular exposition of the "History of Civilization in England" Buckle. Written as a series of dramatic works: "Marriage and Divorce" (or "transition period"), "dark matter", "Daughter", "No Exit", "Surprise", "Rejected" (story taken from "Les miserables" Victor Hugo ). Some of these pieces were represented at the Imperial stage in St. Petersburg and Moscow.
