The main philosophical ideas of Bakunin's reflected in his book Fundamentals of Faith and Knowledge (1886). Interpretation Bakunin absolute idealism of Hegel wore largely aesthetic character. Bakunin wrote about the 'infinite harmony' and 'supreme beauty' of the dialectical process ( 'global dispute'). At the same time, he attached great importance to religious faith and religious experience: 'I believe in God without realizing it, and the whole of philosophy is nothing but a suggestion of God, in whom all unconsciously believe'. All this gave reason VV Zenkovsky characterize the philosophies of Bakunin as 'religious romanticism on the basis of Hegelianism'.
