Richter, Dmitry Ivanovich

Born in 1848. A 3-year student at the Institute of Communications and then attended lectures at foreign universities. From 1876 to 1889 P. served in the Tver provincial zemstvos first insurance, . Then in the statistical department of the Tver Province Zemstvo and contributed to the development of special methods of statistical territorial land records to obtain information on the township congresses and drew special attention to the study of management at the church lands,
. Since 1890 he has been the head of the statistics in a nobleman's bank. The initiative of P. in 1894 established by the Statistical Commission of the Imperial Free Economic Society. In 1900 - 03 years R. was the secretary of the Free Economic Society and edited its "Proceedings". The first printing P. placed in some foreign publications. Tver issued by local boards composed of, in part, together with VI. Pokrovsky, descriptions of the counties Rzhevsky (1885) and Vyshnevolotsk (1889) and "On the value and profitability of land Rzhevsky County" (1884). Of the other works P. issued "The experience of separation of European Russia on areas of natural and economic characteristics" ( "Proceedings of the Free Economic Society, 1898); to the same topic R. returned to the collection, published in honor of IA. Stebuta in 1904. The book "The influence of crops and grain prices" (1897) R. belongs to the article "Debt of private ownership". In 1904 published an article "Bemerkung uber die twerischen Karelier" in Helsingfors "Journ. de la societe finno-ougrienne ". This Dictionary P. published many articles on the geography and statistics, was the assistant editor of the geographical division, and now is its editor. A. F-ing.
