Biography Richard Parkes Bonington (Bonington Richard Parkes)
(1801-1828) Born October 25, 1801 in Arnold, near Nottingham, but most of his short life spent in France. Studied watercolor technique from Louis Francia, a pupil of Thomas Gertina. Resistance to his parents, he led the professional choice Bonington in 1817 to ensure that leave for Paris, where he studied with A. Gros, friendship with Delacroix. A short time attended classes at the School of Fine Arts, and then went on a trip to Normandy. Last eight years of life Bonington traveled to northern Europe and Italy, making sketches. In 1824 his works were exhibited at the famous Paris Salon, where he received the Royal Gold Medal. Talking about the art Bonington, emphasize ease of his brush.
