Biography GRIMTORP Edmund Denison (Grimthorpe Edmund Beckett Denison)
(1816-1905) Born May 12, 1816 in Carleton Hall (near Newark, Nottinghamshire County). He studied at Trinity College, Cambridge University. In the mature and declining years was interested primarily hour business and church architecture. In 1851, when offered a variety of plans for the device clock tower in Victoria, to Grimtorpu, as well as the Astronomer Royal Dzh.Eri and watchmaker Edward John Dent had asked to act as arbitrators. Grimtorp assisted in the creation of the final draft of hours with four dials, which began to count down the time from 1860.
