Biography Dughet Gaspard (Dughet Gaspard)
(1615-1675) Born in Rome on June 6, 1615. Sometimes it was called Gaspard Poussin, on behalf of his famous teacher and relative of Nicolas Poussin. Dyuge was one of the first landscape in Europe. In his works, he embodied the special individual perception of nature. Later he was influenced by a clear classical style Poussin. Dyuge worked extremely quickly, he wrote the great cycles of landscapes, such as a series of twenty-five species for the main hall of the Palazzo Doria-Pamphili in Rome. One of the most famous works of the artist - fresco cycle of The Life of the Prophet Elias (second half of 1630-ies) in the church of San Martino di Monti in Rome. Died Dyuge May 25, 1675.
