Bibliography

(1883-1924)
Born July 3, 1883 in Prague. In 1906 he graduated from the Faculty of Law University of Prague. Brittle, . with piercing eyes, . Kafka constantly engaged in self-flagellation, . depression and a deep inferiority complex in relation to his father, . in a letter which (unsent), admitted: 'It [the literary work] was deliberately delaying farewell to you',

. Judaism Kafka isolated from the German-speaking community, as is the native language for him was the German, . Prague, Czech people do not accept it, . and this objective hopelessness coupled with the difficult nature of the hindered his communicating with other people,
.

Relatively small part of the works of Kafka completed, and relatively little published in his lifetime. Blshaya part of lifetime publications came in the stories (Erzhlungen), including the Stoker novel (Der Heizer, 1913), Sentence (Das Urteil, 1913), Transformation (Die Verwandlung, 1915) and In the Penal Colony (In der Strafkolonie, 1919). Other work published during his lifetime, entered the collections of a struggle Description (Beschreibung eines Kampfes, excerpts publ. 1909), Contemplation (Betrachtung, 1913), Rural Doctor (Ein Landarzt, 1919) and Golodar (Ein Hungerknstler, 1924). More Kafka's posthumously published works of his biographer, M. Brod in spite of the author's desire to destroy them: two unfinished novel - Process (Der Prozess, . 1925) and The Castle (Das Schloss, . 1926), . unfinished novel America (Amerika, . 1927), . Two unfinished novel, . number of stories and fragments, . as well as the letter to his father (publ,
. 1966), reveals the hidden side of his life and art.

Novels and stories of Kafka's most fascinating and exciting, sometimes perversely cruel, often produce a painful impression. Style transparent, unassuming, narrative unusually tight, complete. However, passengers, clearances disperse the darkness of the labyrinth and frightening for a moment, reveal the author's intention. Of course, you can easily ignore the positive final such stories as the verdict or transformation, although the latter concludes with the statement of goodness of life, which contrasts with the torments of the central character. The process ends with the assertion that suicide - the only possible end of human life, which really pleases God. However, in the castle, perhaps, most clearly discerned 'flowing sun'. There are also quite different interpretations of this work. Even those who admit the religious idea, saw the novel as a record of the search, erroneous from the beginning. For the most part is a history of repeated disappointments Rights, . aspirant to, . to some higher authority gave him the confirmation of his belief in himself and his own vocation, as also before this court he did not dokrichatsya, . novel is quite pessimistic,
. On the other hand, debated the question of what surrender means not only the hero's humility before the failure: it provides the key to a merciful end, promised in the last chapters. No longer wish for the supreme confirmation, the hero draws support in the depths of his own 'I'.

Kafka died in Kirlinge near Vienna, June 3, 1924.
