NASH Ogdeen (Nash Ogden)

(1902-1971)
Born August 19, 1902 in Rye (pc. New York). The name of one of his ancestors, General Francis Nash remained in the name of the city Nashville (pc. Tennessee). In 1924 he entered Harvard University, but a year later left him for a short time as a teacher in Rhode Island, moved to New York, spent several years in an advertising agency, then devoted himself to literature. In 1950 he was elected a member of the National Institute of Arts and Letters. Nash died in Baltimore (pc. Maryland), May 19, 1971.
