Biography RAY Man (Ray Man)
(1890-1976), and Emmanuel Radnitsky Among his works - the construction and artifacts, photographs, films, paintings and collages, through which the artist reveals the ambiguity and absurdity of life. One of Ray's artifacts, which he called Invincible subject (though in the end broken), was a metronome. The Enigma of Isidore Ducasse was a kind of object wrapped in black cloth and tied with rope. Ray produced a so-called. 'reyografii', laying out the various objects on photographic paper, which was left on the surface of the prints. Ray was born August 27, 1890 in Philadelphia (pc. Pennsylvania). As a teenager, worked as an assistant engraver. Since 1911, he started to attend gallery of Alfred Stieglitz '291 ', where I first saw photos of works by Rodin, Brancusi, Cezanne, and had a great influence on the formation of his artistic taste. In 1921 he moved to Paris and participated in exhibitions of Dadaists, Surrealists and later. In the thirties, Ray was busy photography, creating portraits and surreal fashion designs, which were published in the magazine 'Harper's Bazaar'. During the next forty years of life, Ray clothe their own ideas in any form, which only prompted him fantasy. Perhaps one of the most important of his achievements can be regarded as experiments in the field of photography. Ray died in Paris on November 18, 1976.
