James Henry Hackett (Hackett James Henry)

(1800-1871)
Born March 15, 1800 in New York. He made his debut in March 1826 in New York in Role comedian and later became an excellent performer eccentric characters. His first appearance in the role of Falstaff (May 1832, Philadelphia) was a huge success. Falstaff was his best role, but Hackett was found in the United States and Britain, its best performer. In the UK, Hackett was the first native-born American has received the highest recognition. The author notes and comments to Shakespeare (Notes and Comments on Shakespeare, 1863). Hackett died in Jamaican (pc. New York) January 28, 1871.
