Before the war, he graduated in Smolensk 8 classes. In 1941-42 he. was evacuated to g. Semipalatinsk. In the Red Army in August 1942. Graduated from the 1-e Turkestan machine-gun school (r. Kushka, 1943). On the Great Patriotic War of 1944. The platoon commander, Lieutenant Guard A. fought in the 46-th Guards Red Star Battalion connection 4-th Guards Stalingrad Red Order of Suvorov and Kutuzov Mechanized Corps 3rd and 2 of the First Ukrainian Front. Participated in the liberation of Romania, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Hungary, Czechoslovakia. After demobilization in 1947. returned to Smolensk, graduated (1948) an evening secondary school N 3, History and Philology of the Smolensk Pedagogical Institute (1962). He worked as a teacher of Russian language and literature in secondary school N 2, . the newspaper "Smena" (1953-58 gg.), . publishing company in the Smolensk (1958-1963 gg.) until his retirement in Smolensk branch of the publishing house "Moscow Worker" (1964-1986 gg.),
