Ivanovich ARGUHOV Bopis

(13.YII.1907, Smolensk - 6.Y.1985, Smolensk)
He graduated from the University of Smolensk (1929), where he was a pupil of Aleksandrov. He taught mathematics at the Smolensk Pedagogical Institute (1933-1941 gg.; 1947-1983 gg.) Headed kafedroyts geometry and algebra, some time was rector Institute for Statistics. Having strong methodological skills, his lectures were a model of pedagogical skills and mathematical depth. The main scientific interests were connected with projective geometry. Member of the Great Patriotic War. Awarded the Labor Red Banner of Honor and medals.
