Biography BEKASHONOK Mikhail
(5.IH.1915 station Lelekvinskaya Smolensk region - 17.II.1964, g. Vitebsk). Hero of the Soviet Union (27.VI.1945 g.). He graduated from the Smolensk elektrotehnikum (1933). In the Red Army in 1935. He graduated from the Stalingrad Military Aviation School (1938). Assistant Commander of the air-shooting service 129-th Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment, 22 Guards Fighter Division 1-st Ukrainian Front. Guard Captain B. made 170 sorties, 50 air battles personally shot down 18 enemy planes and 4 in group. Was seriously wounded. After the war he continued service in the Air Force. Since 1949. Major B. - In stock. Awarded the Order of Lenin, 3 orders of the Red Banner, Order of the Patriotic War, 1 st and 2 nd degree, medals.
