Professor, Doctor of Medicine (1913), founder of experimental teralogii, founder of the Smolensk school histologists, author of the first Soviet textbook of histology (1922. and 1925). From 1883 to 1903. served in the tsarist army, the highest rank - a lieutenant of the regiment Sofia. After the resignation was engaged in a vocal class at the Milan opera. From 1904 to 1910. studied at the faculty of Moscow University. Member of the First World War, from 1917. by 1920. - In the Red Army. The highest position - the regional physician and a senior physician staff of the Western Military District. Author of over 20 published works.
