GERMANS Mark Semenovich

(28.HI.1900, g.Velizh Vitebsk province, now the Smolensk region)

Research interests - Industrial Organic Chemistry. In 1928, Mr.. graduated from the Leningrad Polytechnic Institute. From 1928 to 1941. worked at the State Institute of High Pressure (Leningrad) in 1963. - In VNII petrochemical processes. Since 1930. by 1941. worked on refining, participated in creating ways to increase output of gasoline, kerosene, diesel and heating oil, for antiknock motor fuel. In 1942, Mr.. began intensive research and development of fundamentally new petrochemical processes. Together with other scientists in 1967. was H. awarded the Lenin Prize.
