Biography ENEYSIDEM (Ainesidemos)
Eynesidem, Ainesidemos, from Knossos, I in. BC. e., Greek philosopher. He worked in Alexandria. Following the teachings of Pyrrho, revives skepticism (cm. Sect Empiricus). Formulated, inter alia, the theory of so-called tropes, t. e. ways to refute allegations of any philosophical system. I Photius (cm. Article. The fate of ancient literature) preserved extracts from the work of E. called Teaching Pyrrho (Pyrroneioi logi).
