Junior Arnobius, Arnobius Minor, died after 455 g. n. e., Greek Christian writer, an African monk. Ok. 432 g. fled from the Vandals in Rome. Polemics with the teachings of Augustine on grace. A. is the author of the allegorical writings commentary to Psalms (Commentarii in psalmos), as well as explanations of the Gospel (Expositiunculae in Evangelium), representing the notes in the margins of selected texts of the Gospels of Matthew, Luke and John. Written as antimonofizitsky labor dispute with Serapion (Conflictus cum Serapione) and ascetic work Liber ad Gregorii. A. also attributed to the Pelagian polemic shade (cm. Pelagius) Elect (Praedestinatus; 432-440), directed against the teachings of Augustine on predestination.
