A ndreev Andrew Matveevich - Commander of 125 Infantry Corps (47 Army, 1 st Belorussian Front), Major-General. Born October 30, 1904 in St. Petersburg. Russian. From 1920 he lived in Smolensk region. He worked in agriculture.
In the army since 1924. He served in the Border Troops. In 1927 he graduated from the Belarusian border school in 1935 Б? Graduate School of Frontier of the NKVD, in 1939 Б? Military Academy of Frunze.

He commanded this division in the Central Front, took part in the battles at Kursk. In late 1943 was appointed commander of 125 Infantry Corps (1 st Belorussian Front). In the Vistula-Oder operation skillfully organized action case. January 15, 1945 it broke through the fortified compound enemy positions, successfully crossed the Vistula north of Warsaw, together with the infantry ferried on thin ice artillery, and threatened environment for fascist groups.
