(1919 - 19. 3. 1943)
A chkasov Sergey commander of the 176 th Fighter Regiment (207 th Fighter Division, 2-Air Army, the Voronezh Front), Lieutenant. Born in 1919 in the village Staroklenovskoe now Pervomaisky district of Tambov region in a peasant family. Russian. Member of the CPSU (b) since 1941. Lower secondary education. He worked at the railway station Stupino, graduated from the flying club in the town of Podolsk, Moscow Region. In the Red Army in 1940. He graduated from the Kachin Military Aviation School of Pilots.
At the front with in June 1941. October 17, 1941 Sgt Achkasov SV. in an air battle over the town of Rybinsk, Yaroslavl region bomber rammed a fascist. Landed the damaged plane.
August 13, 1942 Lieutenant Achkasov SV. paired with a squadron commander near the village of Podkletnoe joined the battle against the 9 bombers and 7 fighters. One Me-109 shot down by fire onboard weapons and rammed "Messerschmitt", attacking the lead. Landed by parachute. By September 1942, completing 160 combat sorties, shot down in aerial combat in person 8 and in the group - 2 enemy planes.
. W tion of the Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and medal "Gold Star" Sergei Vasilievich Achkasova awarded on Feb. 4, 1943.
. He was awarded two Orders of Lenin.
. Died March 19, 1943 in a raid by enemy aircraft on the airfield in the Kursk
. He was buried in a mass grave in the village of Halina Kursk region. Forever enrolled in the lists of the military unit in the room of military glory which the bust of Hero.
