And Van G. Zelepukin, Guard sergeant, commander of the Office of the mortar company 202 th Guards Rifle Regiment, 68 Guards Rifle Division. Born September 9, 1924 in g. Atkarsk Saratov region in the family working. Russian. Graduated from high school. In the first months of the war worked as a trainee electrician and an electrician in Atkarsk depot. In 1942 he was drafted into the Red Army.

From August 1943 until the victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War, fought at Voronezh, 1-m Ukrainian and 1 st Baltic fronts. Took part in the Battle of Kursk, the liberation of Ukraine and the Baltic republics. Easily wounded and bruised. For military distinctions awarded the Order of the Red Star (1944) and two medals.
