With the Red Army from March 1936. In 1939 he graduated from Tambov Aviation School GVF, in 1940 - the Odessa military aviation school pilots.
The Great Patriotic War from June 1942. In March 1943, in the Crimean village (now city Krymsk) Krasnodar Region rammed an enemy fighter.
. By May 1943 made 127 sorties, 26 air battles he personally shot down 10 and in the group 3 enemy planes.
. Died May 8, 1943 in an air battle near the village of Crimea.
