. Born September 28, 1924 in a. Demoiselle Fedorovsky district of Saratov region. Russian. He graduated from junior high school.

From August 1942 until the victory over Germany in World War II fought on the Western, Southwestern, Voronezh, 1, 2 and 3 of the First Ukrainian Front. Participated in the battles of Stalingrad and Kursk, the liberation of Ukraine, Moldova, Romania and Hungary. Seriously wounded five times: December 12, 1942, August 6, 1943, January 17, 1944, 30 January and 13 March 1945. For military distinction was awarded the Order of the Red Star (1944) and two medals.

March 6, 1945 German High Command launched a counteroffensive in the area of Lake Balaton. This was the last, unsuccessful attempt to stop the enemy advance of Soviet troops in the South-Eastern Europe, postponing its inevitable collapse.
