Biography ENDELEHY (Endelechius)
Endelehy, North Sanctus; Endelechius, Severus Sanctus, IV in. n. e., a Roman rhetorician and poet. Probably came from South Gaul. Another 400 g. was a famous teacher of rhetoric in Rome. Stable glory won, but as a Christian poet. The surviving poem E. Livestock (De mortibus boum), formally oriented to the Odes of Horace, tells of two shepherds, who complained that their cattle die of disease. Titir (name, known for bucolic Virgil), which has a Z. Christian preacher, requires the adoption of Christianity as an effective remedy against plague. Both the shepherd immediately turn to Christianity.
