Biography Cullin (Kallinos)
Cullin; Kallinos, from Ephesus, the first half of VII. BC. e., Greek poet, elegik. The oldest representative of the military elegy. In his works (Fr.), he calls on citizens to fight with the tribes of Cimmerians and trerov who invaded from the north to Asia Minor. The most extensive, consists of 21 verse, a fragment describes the danger of the situation and calls for the defense of the fatherland. The poet curses the cowardice of the inhabitants and proves the advantages of military glory. K. wrote on the epic dialect, modeled on Homer.
