Biography SHEMM Hans (Schemm)
Shemm (Schemm) Hans (6.10.1891, Bayreuth - 5/3/1935, ibid), a party activist. Received a teachers' education. On 1/12/1910, the rabotaluchitelem. On 6/8/1914 he served in the military hospital. After demobilization from 1.1.1919 again became a teacher at Bayreuth. On 18.4.1919 a member of the Bavarian Volunteer Corps F. von Eppa, participated in the battles with the Communists in Munich. In 1922 he joined the Nazi Party. 27/2/1925 once again joined the party, one of the founders and head ortsgruppy in Bayreuth. On 28.4.1928 deputy of the Bavarian State Parliament. From 3.9.1928 to 18.12.1933 Gauleiter of Upper Franconia. 24/11/1928 founded the National Socialist Teachers' Union, 21.4.1929 elected its leader and remained so until the death. In 1929, elected the leader of faction of the NSDAP in the city council Bayreuth. In May 1930 created the Nazi magazine 'Fighting' (from Nov.. - Weekly). 14/9/1930 elected to the Reichstag from Franconia. 1/10/1932 founded the weekly newspaper 'Frankish folk'. On 19.1.1933 Gauleiter just created a new Gau - Bavarian Ostmarka, which consisted of old Gow Upper Franconia, Lower Bavaria and Oberpfalts. On 13.4.1933 at the same time the Bavarian State Minister of Education and Culture, and from 10/7/1934 NSDAP member of the Commission on Higher Education. He died in a car crash.
