Biography Barbie Henri-Auguste
Barbier (Henri Auguste Barbier) - French. satirical poet, born. April 28, 1805, Mr.. Paris. With sufficient material means, B. lived in Paris, quite independently, without taking any public office or public. After the July revolution began to appear in "Revue de Paris" poem BA, soon had delivered him fame. He gave them a separate collection under the title: "Les Jambes" (Par., 1831, 9-ed. 1878). Full of poetic fire satire of his paint the sad state of French society, the image of which the young poet paints not regretted. Sharp "iambic" Barbie were greeted with enthusiasm, and many passages from his poems came into use, as saying. Of the other works fine: "Il Pianto" and "Lazare", which were printed first in the "Revue des deux Mondes" (1,832 - in 1833 gg.), Then went to 1837. in the "Jambes" and has since been published several times. "Il Pianto" describes a very poetic and truly humiliating position of the then Italian. Distinguished by the same virtues "Lazare" devoted to the plight of working people in Britain rather cold reception greeted two satires B. : "Erostiate" and "Potdevin", published in 1837. Likewise, not drawn the special attention of his "Chant civil et religieux" (1841) and "Rimes heroiques" (1843), a collection of sonnets, endowed with historical notes. Much later came to light "Silves, poesies diverses" (1864) and "Satires" (1865). Collection of his short stories: "Trois passions" (1867) does not really matter. In 1869, Mr.. B. was elected to the French Academy. B. died in Nice on 14 Feb.. 1882, after his death published: "Souvenirs personnels" (1883) and "Poesies posthumes (1884). "Iambic" B. repeatedly been translated into Russian я?пЇ. Of the particularly zealous interpreters of the poet's note: Kovalevsky, Basil Kurochkin, Burenina and Minaeva.
