ARKHANGELSK, Alexander G. (1889-1938), Russian poet and satirist, parodist. Born 4 (16) November 1889 in Eyske family hairdresser and seamstress, having lost his father early, could not receive education. Since 1906, a clerk working in a shipping company Yeysk, closer to the Bolsheviks in 1907-1908 was subjected to imprisonment. He lived in Rostov (1908-1909), from 1910 - in St. Petersburg (statistician at the Ministry of Trade and Industry), which tied the literary acquaintances (in t.ch. with NS Gumilev, very skeptical about whether 'stump' and 'non-original' earliest poetic experiments of the Archangel). Since 1914 he served in the provincial statistical bureau in Chernigov, entered the circle of local poets 'Fireplace'. In 1919 the first book of his poems, Black clouds (1919).
