ARKHANGELSK, Alexander G. (1889-1938), Russian poet and satirist, parodist. Born 4 (16) November 1889 in Eyske family hairdresser and seamstress, having lost his father early, could not receive education. Since 1906, a clerk working in a shipping company Yeysk, closer to the Bolsheviks in 1907-1908 was subjected to imprisonment. He lived in Rostov (1908-1909), from 1910 - in St. Petersburg (statistician at the Ministry of Trade and Industry), which tied the literary acquaintances (in t.ch. with NS Gumilev, very skeptical about whether 'stump' and 'non-original' earliest poetic experiments of the Archangel).
