Biography Marcel Cerdan
Marcel Cerdan was born July 22, 1916 in Casablanca (Morocco).

In amateur boxer had 107 fights, won 103 of them (40 fights by knockout, and 62 ahead of schedule). In Casablanca, he waited for his wife and sons Marinetti - Marseille, Renee and Paul.

In 1934 he moved to the professionals. During 15 years of professional career had 116 fights and only 4 lost. 64 match ended prematurely, has been dubbed the 'scorer from Casablanca'. Although, as the sports press and eyewitnesses of his fights, Marcel Cerdan never sought to knockout and always had a respectful and humane treatment to their rivals as much as possible to the specifics of boxing.

. Won the title of world champion in the middleweight champion, knocked out in 12 rounds Tony Zela.

. In June 1949 gave Jake La Motta, after losing his fight by knockout in 10 rounds (shoulder injury).

. October 27, 1949 went to New York for a rematch, and while approaching the Azores was killed in a plane crash.

. fought against fascism in the ranks of the Free French Navy.

After the death of Cerdan director Claude Lelouch made a film 'Edith and Marcel', in which the role of Marcel Cerdan played his eldest son, also Marseille and also professional boxer. However, unlike his father, his battles in the professional ring did not bring him neither fame nor the state.

Name Marcel Cerdan inducted into Hall of Fame boxers in London.
