Biography Valentino Rossi
Valentino Rossi was born on February, 16, 1979 in Italy (Urbino). He performs for Fiat Yamaha Team, at number 46.

Valentino Rossi's career began thanks to his father Graziano Rossi. Grazianno Rossi was the well-known racer, had 3 victories. In 90th year an accident put an end to his career. At the age of 10 Valentino took part in carting. At 11 he started to drive minibike. In 1995 he went to the European Superiority as an official racer of Aprilia, finished the season on the third place. In the same year he saved the crown of the Italian Superiority 125cc.

1996: Debut in the World championship 125cc in Malaysia, goes on Aprilia in the team of Scuderia AGV. Final position of Superiority: 9th with 111 points. 1 victory: the Czech Republic.

1997: The second youngest World champion 125cc, goes on Aprilia for the team Nastro Azzurro. Final position of Superiority: 1st with 321 points. 11 victories: Malaysia, Spain, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Imola, Germany, Brazil, Great Britain, Catalonia and Indonesia.

1998: Passes in 250cc class, goes on Aprilia for the team Nastro Azzurro. Final position of Superiority: 2nd with 201 points. 5 victories: the Netherlands, Imola, Catalonia, Australia and Argentina.

1999: Becomes the youngest World champion 250cc, as a member of the team Aprilia Grand Prix Racing. Final position of Superiority: 1st with 309 points. 9 victories: Spain, Italy, Catalonia, Great Britain, Germany, the Czech Republic, Australia, Southern Africa and Brazil.

2000: Passes to the prime minister-class 500cc, goes on Honda for the team Nastro Azzurro. Final position of Superiority: 2nd with 209 points. 2 victories: Great Britain and Brazil.

2001: Wins the World championship 500cc, goes on Honda for the team Nastro Azzuro. Final position of Superiority: 1st - 275 points after 14 stages from 16. 9 victories: Japan, Southern Africa, Spain, Catalonia, Great Britain, the Czech Republic, Portugal, Motegi and Australia.

2002: Becomes the double world champion in MotoGP (500cc), on Honda in the team Repsol Honda Team. Final position: 1-nd-355 points. 11 victories: Japan, Spain, France, Italy, Catalonia, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Germany, Portugal, Brazil, Australia.

2003: Valentino wins the third champion title in class MotoGP. The team Repsol Honda. Final position: 1st - 357 points. 9 victories: Japan, Spain, Italy, the Czech Republic, Portugal, Brazil, Malaysia, Australia, Valencia.

2004: Valentino won the 4th champion title in MotoGP. The team Gauloises Fortuna Yamaha. Final position: 1st - 304 points. 9 victories: Southern Africa, Italy, Catalonia, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Portugal, Malaysia, Australia, Valencia.

2005: Valentino Rossi won 5th champion title in MotoGP and 7th title in all classes. The team Gauloises Yamaha Team. Final position: 1st - 367 points. 11 victories: Spain, China, France, Italy, Catalonia, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Germany, the Czech Republic, Qatar, Australia.

2006: this Season was very difficult and in many respects unsuccessful for Valentino Rossi, there were many beautiful victories, but he faced both falls and technical problems due to which he got only on 2nd place. He was in the team Camel Yamaha Team. Final position: 2nd - 247 points. 5 victories: Qatar, Italy, Catalonia, Germany, Malaysia.

2007: the third place in the championship with 241 points in standings. 4 victories: Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal.

2008: Wins 6th title in the senior class and 8 in all classes, finishes the championship with 373 points in standings. 9 victories: China, France, Italy, the USA, the Czech Republic, San Marino, Indianapolis, Japan, Malaysia
