Born November 8, 1940 in g. Sretensk Chita region, Russian.
. He graduated from the Krasnodar Polytechnic Institute, Tyumen Industrial Institute, Academy of Social Sciences under the CPSU Central Committee.
. Since 1958 worked as a fitter construction management, fitter refinery in g
. Krasnodar.
. In 1964 - 67 - chief engineer of the Baku canning factory, the engineer of the trust "Orgpischeprom in Krasnodar.
. From 1967 he worked in the Tyumen region: Chief Engineer Urayskogo bakery, a senior engineer Urayskoy Booster Station, head of pipeline management, party committee secretary of the association "Sibkomplektmontazh.
. In 1975 - 88 - on party work.
. In 1990 was elected deputy of the Belorussian SSR.
. April 1990 - first secretary of the Tyumen Regional Committee of the CPSU.
. Since February 1993 - Chairman of the Tyumen Regional Committee of the Communist Party.
. October 27, 1996 unsuccessfully ran for the post of governor of the Tyumen region.
. 19 December 1999 was elected to the State Duma of the third convocation.
