Biography BRODSKY ISAAC
1883 (1884), with. Sofiyivka Tauride Province. - 1939, Leningrad. Studied at Odessa Art School (since 1896), the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts. During the first Russian revolution in printing the cartoons in the satirical political magazine. In 1909 and 1913 participated in the Secession in Munich, where his works were awarded medals. Member of the Union of Russian Artists. From 1914 to 1922 - a participant of all exhibitions of the Association of Traveling Art Exhibitions. In 1924 joined the Association of Artists of Revolutionary Russia to organize a demonstration of his painting "II Congress of the Comintern". He painted portraits of Lenin and then Stalin and other leaders of the state. In 1934-39 was director of the All-Russia Academy of Arts in Leningrad. Brodsky's works are in the Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow; RM, Petersburg, Kiev State Museum of Russian Art, the Museum headquarters I.I. Brodsky Petersburg
