Ribchenko Boris

1899, Smolensk - 1994. He studied at the khu (1915-18), in Petrograd in IAH (1920-21), in Moscow at the Higher Art School (1921-25). From 1921 he lived in Moscow. Exhibitions since 1919. Member of the Society of Artists "Growth" (from 1928). He was a "Group of 13", participated in all of its three exhibitions (1929-31). He taught drawing in secondary schools, in 1960 organized a Children's art room б? 1 of the Leningrad region of Moscow. Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1970). Landscape, the author of thematic paintings to book illustration, agitation and mass art. I drew lanes and alleys, everyday scenes, street demonstrations, illustrated the "Twelve" A. Block. Later became known as the author of well-dressed, bright landscapes of Moscow. Works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow, in private collections.
