SCHWARTZ Shalom

1929, Leningrad -1995, St. Petersburg. He studied at the Art School at the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. I.E. Repin (1947-52). He graduated from the two courses by correspondence Moscow Polygraphic Institute (1953-54). He worked in the printing, modeler-restorer. Lived and worked in Leningrad. The representative of the Leningrad unofficial art party apartment exhibitions since 1958. From portraits, urban landscapes, still lifes, genre scenes. Picturesque language Schwarz distinguish colouristic depth, expression of gesture, freedom of thought and sensory perception. Products are in SRM, St. Petersburg, the Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow; Far Eastern Art Museum, Khabarovsk, and others. museums in Russia; Zimmerly Art Museum, New Brunswick, USA; private collections in Russia, Argentina, France.
