POPOV Andrey

(12. 04. 1918 - 14. 06. 1983), actor.
Born in the city of Kostroma. He graduated from the studio theater at the Central Red Army (1939). Since 1940 - an actor, and since 1963 - chief director of the central theater of the Soviet Army from 1974 - an actor MAT. From 1968 he taught at GITIS, Professor (1973). In the cinema since 1930 (the first part - a student in the film 'Big trouble').
State Winner. Prize of the USSR (1950 - for a theatrical work).
People's Artist of USSR (1966).
