Biography Uden Fedor (Friedrich) Karlovic
(1754-1823 gg.) - Great pathologist, physician, historian of medicine and dental hygienist, academician, of German descent. He received medical training in Berlin and Halle. From 1786, Mr.. lived and worked in Russia, first in Chernigov, since 1792, Mr.. in St. Petersburg in Kalinkinskom Institute, and from 1808 - the Medico-Surgical Academy. In 1816-1822 he. issued the first manual in Russian on the private pathology and therapy, where he gave a systematic description of the clinical symptomology of gastric ulcer and its complications, the methods of its treatment. He was the founder and editor of the first national medical journal "The St. Petersburg physician statements" (1792-1794 gg.). The most significant of his works: "Primae lineae fundamentirum pathologiae et therapiae" (Petropoli, . 1809), .
