Shymlanskaya Alexander

(1748-1795 gg.) - A well-known domestic practitioner histologist. In 1776, Mr.. Graduated from the hospital school at St. Petersburg Admiralty Hospital, in 1782, Mr.. - Medical Faculty, University of Strasbourg. He defended his thesis on the structure of the kidneys. Taught therapy, obstetrics and pathological anatomy in the hospital school in Moscow. He is one of the founders of the national histology. In 1788, Mr.. suggested an original injection method of urinary tubules and blood vessels, kidneys. In 1787, Mr.. in St. Petersburg, published "The opinion of one istinolyubtsa sending most useful for people of science". From the Russian translation of his dissertation "De structura renum: Tractatus physiologicoanatomicus" (Argentorati, 1788) can be found in the book L. S. Sobol "History of the microscope and microscopic studies in Russia in the eighteenth century" (Moscow-Leningrad, 1949).
