Mochutkovsky Osip Osipovich

(1845-1903 gg.) - An outstanding Russian physician. In 1877, Mr.. defended his doctoral thesis "Materials for pathology and therapy of relapsing fever". Before 1877. headed the infectious disease clinic of the Odessa city hospital, then the department for nervous patients. Since 1893, Mr.. - Consultant and Professor of Nervous Diseases in Clinical Institute to support enhancements of doctors in St. Petersburg. Along with Mr.. N. Minho he was the first to establish infectivity of blood and the possible role of blood-sucking vectors (1876). He founded the spa company in Odessa and the Odessa branch of the Society Mutual Physicians. He was the founder of "Southern Russian Medical Newspaper" (Odessa, 1892-1896 gg.) Famous for his work on balneology, nervous diseases, and tuberculosis.
