Biography Zabolotnyj Daniel Kirillovich
(1866-1929 gg.) - Russia's eminent microbiologist, epidemiologist and public health organizer. More than a quarter century devoted to the study of plague and the fight against this infection. His thesis on syphilis, its pathogenesis and etiology is a classic work. In 1898, Mr.. organized Russia's first department of bacteriology in the women's medical school. He is the author of: "Private epidemiology" (St. Petersburg, 1908), "General bakterilogiya (St. Petersburg, 1909). In 1927, Mr.. First published in Russian original textbook "Fundamentals of Epidemiology (Moscow, Leningrad, 1927).
