(17.10.1869 - 4.07.1962, New York) - American psychologist, a representative of functional psychology. In the book 'dynamic psychology' (1918) developed a position on the fundamental importance of motivation in the organization of behavior. Hypothesized that formed the skills themselves may acquire causative, regardless of the instincts, leading to their formation.
