Elena Taushkanova

Elena Taushkanova born and raised in Kazakhstan. In his hometown of Kustanai she finished music school and college culture. Almost immediately after graduating from the college Helen was admitted to the Big Band Alexander Evsukova. It was a good school for young singer. Together with the orchestra, she made many appearances, toured and participated in festivals. Its fresh, provocative voice increasingly sounded at public concerts, and once she was given the honor to speak at the U.S. Embassy in Kazakhstan.
. In 1995 Elena received the Grand Prix at the competition of vocalists in Kustanai Young XXI century ", in 1996
. performed at the festival "Voice of Asia" in Almaty. In 1997. Elena was awarded a diploma laureate in the competition "Young Wings" in Almaty.
In 1997. Helen moved to Moscow and immediately immersed in the professional world of Moscow musicians. She worked as a backing vocalist on the recording studios in Moscow, trying to work with different musicians. Elena hard studying, taking private lessons, as well as a lot of listening to his idols, among them Ella Fitzgerald, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Carmen McRae, Diana Ross, Frank Sinatra, Betty Carter, Mahalia Jackson.
In 1998. fate brought Lena to the young, but by that time already experienced musicians, who were the winners and winners of many national and international competitions and festivals. Among them: Student Festival "Phaistos" 1998 and 1999., An international competition "Crystal bass in 1998, the International Choir Competition 1997. in the Italian town of Riva del Garda. Their meeting was the beginning of the life of the ensemble "Water Colours". Ensemble has set itself the task of creating a wide repertoire of vocal and instrumental jazz as well as in the field of contemporary and classic disco tracks. We must pay tribute to the musicians, they have coped with the task and now "Water Colours" is one of the famous and popular youth teams in Moscow.
